A Chapter by Eala Cartwright

Slipping Through My Fingers
I walked out the door
To the sound of the heartbreak
Left You for dead
To drown in our mistakes

As I flee the scene
I try not thinking about it
If I broke your heart,
Think what you did to me

All those days spent waiting
Watching as the sand
Drained straight through my fingers
Slipping through my hands

Author's Note

Eala Cartwright
For the boy who taught me the pain of holding on too long. Losing you hurt, but refusing to let you go hurt more.
