Wasted

Wasted

A Poem by Eala Cartwright

I had the opportunity.
The chance,
The perfect moment
In which to tell you just how much you meant to me

But what did I do?
I froze.
I chickened out,
Instead muttering some vague response just as you had

And now it's too late
You're gone.
And I am left,
Left regretting all of the chances that I didn't take
And all of the things that I left unsaid

mmmmm.....some times it may be for the best.

It is not just a quick "I like you" or "I love you" that makes things work.....but often buckets full of blood (not quite) but definitely sweat and tears......:)

Great writing!
