Washington Winter

Washington Winter

A Poem by KLH

February 3rd, 2016.
It's raining again.
Cold with no snow.
Just rain and wind.
It never gets old.
Even after my 19th
Winter.
Annoying at times,
Beautiful at others.
I live in the state that never stops raining.

Oooo... I feel this piece deeply...damply... through the bones and into the muck of mud squished in the boots.

Having grown up in Washington I can relate. That whole winter rain... with no snow is annoying. And then the seemingly constant grey overcast that drizzles and drizzles... Yet... When the sun does shine and the sky holds that picture perfect blue... Washington simply can't be beat.

Even after traveling the US for 8 years all over the 50 states... Nothing beats Washingtons sunny days...
