SugarKills Of Sundown

SugarKills Of Sundown

A Poem by LittleGlassWings

In the ally of your dark soul,

A small fire rises.

Green embers and white smoke,

A silent shadow of pain.

You inhale.

Like rain, it burns quietly...

It speaks, but no one hears.

It burns, but no one listens

You speak, and you make not a sound...

Screaming soft Lullabies to the sky...

You whisper a name, seeing only yourself...

But you Dance. Burn. and Cry. Alone.

Fire of my soul, light of my life, smile.

Fire of my soul, light of my life, smile.

Fire of my soul, light of my life, smile.

Oceans of white smoke...

And Green embers.

A dark shadow surrounds you again.

You inhale.

Brought a smile to my face! The part that really captivated me was the lines, "Fire of my soul, light of my life, smile." I love how you made those three lines go from small to big. This poem is great and very well written! :)
