Pained Pleas Always Unheard

Pained Pleas Always Unheard

A Poem by HopelessDreamer

The words echo through my head
Your disappointment shoots through my heart and rests there, leaving a hollow aching
My imperfections scar my heart

The tears fall on this blank page
The pen filled with blood from my wrist
The words leave my heart but never make it to your ears

My screams are silenced by your prejudice
The silences between us tear us further apart
Your words never fail to make me feel worthless

The tears fall on the old photograph
The blanket covered with blood from my wrist
The words leave my heart but never make it to your ears

The looks of disgust can't be hidden behind make up
They pierce into my heart, making it hard to breath
The constant reminders that you wish I was perfect never stop pouring from your mouth

The tears fall on the white tile
The razor covered with blood from my wrist
The words leave my heart but never make it to your ears

The doctors words ring through your head
"Anorexic...bulimic...depressed...suicidal...."
My dirty secrets finally unmasked

The tears fall on the ground
The coffin covered with blood from my wrist
The words left my heart but were never heard by your ears

Great format and good metaphors. You really covered a lot of different ways to express pain and make it relateable to others. Good job.
