Wrist PaintingsA Poem by HopelessDreamerMemories never fade, neither do scars
The paintings on my wrist
Stare down at all our broken promises and the past we no longer recall With you went my heart, while i took the fall The paintings on my wrist Remind me of the past that exists only in their minds With you they spent the lonely nights, while i was left binded My words where taken away by the wind The paintings on my wrist Keep me from becoming to comfortable with the future My heart was stitched with a suture The paintings on my wrist Cut into my arm during the long nights The nights i felt your presence slowly fade away from my heart and its only light The paintings on my wrist Will never fade away Because your memory haunts my heart forever... © 2011 HopelessDreamer |
