Bejeweled Darkness

Concealing feelings

Ritzy, milky white
Shimmering
Beads of the ocean
Strung around my neck.

Sparkling prisms
Decorating my ears.

Rosy powdered cheeks.
Glossy, cherry red lips.
Curled my hair.

Glowing dim neurons.
Just embers, my heart.
Weary, my soul.
Black, my veins.

Bejeweled the outside
To conceal
The darkness inside.
