You speak the truth and i'm sorry if you are going through a rough spot in your life. I hope things get better and the signs that you have listed are actual signs and should not be ignored. This poem is both enjoyable to read and heart-wrenching. Thank you for sharing.
We SEE our "signs", but others seem too busy or too ANYTHING to notice or pay attention to US, OUR wants, needs, hopes(?), tears... Docs give their opinions - an art not a science, and each seems to have their own or parrot a book like some WISE Sage of olde.
We're human, we're flawed - imperfect. Life gives us issues and we, well - so many ARE broken. But we try Belle, we try.
i love how this poem is both truth and how it is a great read. i like how the poem just stabs me the heart and all the feels flood out drowning me in feels. i like how it is a simple yet standoutish poem like you dont do any extravagent font or large words but just a simple font that even though it is a simple poem, your simple poem holds depth and emotion that makes it all the more amazing to read. i can kinda of relate, when somehting is wrong and they dont notice im like are you blind and even when i say im okay. luckily i have my friends to talk to because they are better to talk to then my guardian since they can relate and wont look at me like im broken glass .

True! People tend to only look for the big signs, not really caring to look for the messages beneath one’s skin. People tend to only care when its too late, i.e installing a stop light at the intersection AFTER the child is run over. People should really learn how to look past take smiles and “Im fine’s” and learn to love the people underneath. I love the way you put these words together to create a powerful piece together.
I liked the concept of attention. I can relate to the part about not wanting to leave the office and the question posed there is definitely real. This poem reminds me of the serious talks the teachers would give in high school to promote awareness. Job well done!
