Birthstone Crown

Birthstone Crown

A Poem by Blue Belle
"

My nana (grandmother) gave me her birthstone crown.

"

We are at the top
Of the crown
For November
Is the month
We were both born.

A grandmother
And best friend
You are to me,
Always
In my heart.

Making egg salad,
Baking muffins,
Playing games of "Uno,"
Those were the best.

You taught me
How to crochet,
Although
I have forgotten.

Spending the night
Was scary with little noises,
But you turned on the radio
To drown them out.

You told me
One day
That I could have
The pin,

Those days
Are today
For you are now
In heaven.
