His breath
flows down my neck.
I close my eyes
And breathe in time,
Feeling the rise
And fall of his chest.
I turn to lock lips,
But he vanishes;
Nothing is left
But an outline of what used to be.
The current
of his love
Pulls me close.
Our body interlocks,
Passing heat through one another.
The words “I love you”
Dissolve into the air;
Only the whisper of silence replies.
His shadow walks on by.
He runs his
hand
Down my thigh,
Sending me shivers
Of delight.
I reach to grab his hand,
But only a spider to be found.
I am tangled
In his web.
Although we
are parted,
The ghost of ‘A’ still remains.
