GravityA Poem by Little BirdieWe drove slowly through the sunset of Serengeti.
I knew a girl once
with the twist of the hand she commanded the movements of the planets and all of Earth's inhabitants stood observing the foreboding frontier eager to take a second step yet cowardly anticipating the dissipation of the pull we drove slowly through the sunset of Serengeti and my friend with merits floated the Sun around to break pink hues into purple and when she twisted her hips and flailed her arms wildly against the barren air everyone would think her dancing but I always feared she's had enough of it all and was ready to let go. © 2015 Little Birdie |
