Just random poetry

Pages turn,

And a new chapter begins...

New things begin, and old things always end.

But thats not the way it has to be.

You can forever sit beside me.

 

                         ...But only if you really want.

 

Smiles turn cold,

And the sun fades into the moon.

Somethings are decided, others we get to choose.

The only one for me is you.

 

                        ...But only if you love me too.

 

Music will go dark,

And the joy will fade into fear.

Some people will smile, others will shed a tear.

Losing you has always been my biggest fear.

 

                       ...But it doesn't have to be.

 

Dark always returns to light,

And the moon fades back to the sun.

Darling you were never somebody, you were always my one.

Just like you told me I was your special someone.

                       ...That's the way it always should be.

This was simply great! I loved the simplicity of this piece and the structuring of your stanzas. It brings a uniqueness to the piece and catches the readers eye. I also like your usage of abstract words and your descriptions, such as: " dark always returns to light, and the moon fades back to the sun" that was a beautiful line. Great job on this poem!
