Blank Page

Blank Page

A Poem by Samantha Guerin

Blank Page

You are my constant

Disappointment.

Begging to be filled

You lay there,

Empty.

I am drawn to you,

Inexplicably;

Infatuated.

Soon I cannot resist.

I fold,

Pick up a pen.

You become dazzling,

Overflowing with gems,

And you become mine.

But now I don’t want you,

You are bloated,

And familiar;

Lacking excitement.

So now I am finished.

I cast you aside,

Move on to the next siren

Who calls to me.

For now, rest in the thought

That I will return.

But only to change you,

It is I who completes you.

Such glorious language. I think, you got real writer's skill there! Yes, no doubt about it, you are a truly 'talented' writer. BRILLIANT! ;-)

oo la la, I know many people feel that way about a blank page - especially when it is hard to write something, but the way you transferred your feelings into this piece was amazing! this is a breath-taking poem!
