Ode de Spoon

Ode de Spoon

A Poem by Samantha Guerin
"

A poem about the ways of life.

Ode de Spoon

The sink is full

Water pours

Pipes groan.

Hands move; slow and steady,

Delving into the murky waters,

Disguised by bubbles;

Beautiful but empty.

Fingers wrap around a blade,

Squeezing a little too hard.

Water turns red,

Lips part,

Lungs erupt.

Falling back into the mysterious waters

It takes with it a souvenir.

No other dish stirs.

The hands reach again.

Will they ever learn?
