The Essentials

 

The sun sets and rises

 Mountains sleep

Water beats against the land

Plants grow;

Longing to stand tall and proud,

The moon orbits,

The wind blows,

Earth continues spinning on its yearly course.

These simple acts remind me,

Even in my darkest of days that

Life goes on.
