Girl in the Corner

Girl in the Corner

A Poem by Brilli B

As I shyly walk past you don't even give a glance, I go to a party to see if you notice but you don't look you're too focused, focused on a perfect girl, in your perfect world, I ask myself why you don't look, you say you are too booked, but when I look next it seems like you're Peter pan and I'm Captain Hook, just out of reach I always lose you, but over and over I still choose you, I'd ask for one day, where everything could change, but I know it would be a mistake cause everything's at stake, I would be crying deep in my doubt, but I wont change for a boy who doesn't know how to use a burner, to love I am a foreigner, so I guess I'll be that same old girl in the corner.

I have been in that same corner many times myself. I know exactly how she feels, nicely done.
