My Pathway to True Happiness

I am in a process of self-discovery .. freeing myself to be me!

As I lay staring into the higher Heaven's Abyss;

It's a hazy but icy blue sky above all today.

I sit wondering by myself in sheer loneliness;

my son's at school.. I'm hopeful and pray.

 

I am merely a lost struggling soul;

but a mixed up fallen angel some may say.

I made a few mistakes trying to hold my beliefs;

but always hoping for a much better day.

 

Rearranging life to find my true purpose;

has many days shrouded in passion and doubt.

Many do not dream or dare to try this;

as they venture paths of a much different route.

 

Dreamy aspirations are filling my soul;

of great intangible things one can not even touch.

Visions of the greatest love and peace;

things I yearn greatly.. yet I need them so much.

 

My imagination is quickly coming back;

before it was hazy like the sky I now see.

Each and every day becoming much more vivid;

with every step in thought.. I am feeling more free.

 

For my pathway to true happiness;

higher beliefs and I know this is true.

I'm finding peace through forgiveness;

in all that I've done and now do.

I like thses lines here cause a friend and I were discussing what Abyss meant
and neither one us knew or we still know.
