Friends

Friends

A Poem by LisetteCanWrite!
"

A simple poem about the revolving door of friendship..

"

Many friends will come;

as many do have to surely go.

This is the door of friendship;

It swings both... to and fro.

Be bound not by colour;

try to be open and good to all.

It's just more hands to catch you;

if you ever should fall.

Savor each and every moment;

they should find to spend with you.

Learn something special from each;

it's really not that hard to do.

Keep your door always open;

the best surely will thrive.

Each has different purpose;

some help cope to survive.

Some friends are just there;

just to merely make us smile.

Everyone needs a great laugh;

more often than once in awhile.

Some may hold our hands;

we may even share worst of fears.

The best sometimes get close enough;

to wipe away our tears.

Yes, some friends have to go;

but if you are lucky many great may stay.

The most special remain in our hearts;

even though many miles away.

Remember the door always swings;

never put this rotation to an end.

As if you leave it open to revolve;

you just may invite a great new friend.

oh dear friend ,how i love these kinds of writes ,so emotional so totally right..
makes me feel so happy ,the world is still so good ,your words bring these feelings..
freinds will come ,and some will go,the door of friendship swings to and fro..
never look at color ,be open and good,you see more hands to catch you if you will ever fall
save each moment to spend with lovely faces,learn lots from each,not so hard to teach
keep them doors wide open,let all come in ,the best will stay,each will have his own say
great help they are,friend always there for you,they bring smiles and you need a laugh
some will hold your hands ,drives the worst of fears,and if the in the blues,they are there to wipe them tears
some will leave ,lots will stay ,in your heart will leave lots of space
keep them doors open and always to swing..
so they may bring some more great friends...
lovely ..lovely write,how i enjoyed this ,you will never know

I've been giving friends alot of thought lately, and you are absolutely right in that different friends can provide things that can be totally different, but still vital. I think in some cases its also good to leave the door unlocked because people who have left do pop back in. I loved the ending stanza. Very nice poem.

i love this poem, so true, so heart warming. i love the logic to this, leaving the door to friendship revolving, very deep & a wonderful point. be open to all, you never know who ends up being a friend for life. going in my favorites. this poem is amazing.
