I guess, you can say I'm going through this feeling. But I haven't given up, I'm not up for giving up on people I love. So I'm fighting. And maybe in the end it was not worth it but no one can know that for sure right?

I loved the part where you said " But just know I did love you, dear. " Because even if you try to save yourself some heart ache, you did love that person. Even if he was cruel or just a horrible person, you couldn't help see the good in him or her. But if the person is a wonderful, amazing person that lifts you up in the air then it's much much harder just to give up.

when i was in highschool i had a boyfriend, and while we dated i knew i was not the one for him so durring our three day break up i wrote him a letter that said pretty much what you just did especially the lines
"So that must mean there is another
Someone who can love us better"

and he asked me why i went out with him if i knew i wasn't the one for him....it put me in an awkward postition, so don't ever actually tell someone this poem directly!!

This is beautiful, and I'm glad you feel this way. It's better to be optimistic about it, and I know how it is when the love just fades away. I love the word choice, and it is very sweet even if there is sort of a touch of sadness. I love this. (:
