Muse in the Garden - Part 1

Muse in the Garden - Part 1

A Poem by lisaluree
"

This is a love story about the muse and the beauty and inspiration she finds in nature. It is about almost losing herself, almost losing her love, being reawakened to the muse within us all.

"
Her head was clearly cloud-borne
Her heart was rich and wild.
It wasn't hope but wondering
that made her like a child.

The gardens of her daydreams
were where her mind would play.
Each thought a ripened cherry,
begging her to stay.

Poppies blooming dangerously,
mushrooms soldieresque
Scotch pine trading stories
Peonies pop burlesque

Mock orange wafting heavenly,
lavendar divine.
Effervescent honeybees,
wardens by design.

Dandelions slinging seeds,
fleaborne mongrel pups.
Pansies hanging heavy heads,
drowsy in their cups.

Entranced with inner wanderings
she often lost her way.
Surrender, sweet, solubrious
the muse unfettered play.
