Winter-ForgedA Poem by Liriel Luna
You cannot hide in the darkness forever.
That which you thought would never Come to light is falling Under the Sun's increasing gaze. The snow is melting. My Winter is nearing its end. Two years this frozen inner hell has lasted And I have been in hibernation while Everything else has passed me by. Healing. Gathering strength. It's not only under fire that I Become forged. The fires of hell of my years with you Had made me molten like a star. The seemingly endless winter after Has brought my edge to lethal steel. I am ever being sharpened. You made me the sword of your destruction. You created me. You thought you'd buried me. Buried her. You think you've won. Gotten away. You think yourself safe. Soon you'll behold the pitiless ice of our gaze. I was forged for this purpose. To be the sword in her hand, she whom You betrayed the worst. Her bell tolls for you. It is coming. The Sun and the Moon see you now And they pity you not.
