My Nameless EnemyA Poem by LiquaticSometimes our enemies are closer than we think...
So today I face an enemy
That I know not yet it's name. No matter how hard I fight It seems it always ends the same. I struggle to breathe Gasping for life I end up grabbing my throat As if cut by a knife So I search high and low Without a clue or trace I take a look around And begin to see his face I feel a sense of fear As I sense his presence drawing nearer My nameless enemy All the clues becoming clearer The sad truth being That my enemy, lies within the mirror. © 2011 Liquatic |
