I've been here and done the exact same thing~
Lithium, not Xanax.
But the escape is still the same.
Touching piece, I enjoyed the rhymes, the way the stanzas flowed, seperate but together as a whole.
such chemical dosed poetry, in line with the air in drugged out welcoming, I love the tie in of flying compared to near death experiences, yet comforted as the spirit of the write becoming hazy in milligram and ounces of rhythm, ...good stuff
Holy crap, Xanax works for flying!? Never thought about that. Prob works much better than cups of whiskey, and no hang over lol
I can def relate to this poem. I do NOT like flying (although I'm not afraid of heights, go figure). I was on a flight to SF, and from L.A. that's only like 40 min, and I was freaking out at the lady next to me talking on her cell after the pilot told everyone to turn off their electronic devices! lol
Anyhow, what a nice tongue-and-cheek piece, and I esp like the last part; I can almost feel myself dozing off into Xanax paradise...
(: ah yes the blue football (: (: i read the previous review.. and i got all of you topped but my response has nothing to do with any of that.. i love poetry when it refers to chemical, spiritual, emotional (usually angry or frustrated emotions) so i was quite pleasantly surprised to read a love song (for lack of a better way to put it) for xanax.. what i can tell you however is this; dont love it too much.. there is nothing worse than grand-Mal seizuires and a near death experience in benzo detox.. (: Loved this poem! -s
Awesome. I've read about a lot of drugs but never this one. I have taken it though, along with ativan, risperdal, clorezapam, clonazepam and diazepam. Anxiety's a b***h isn't it?
