The sting of Good-bye

The sting of Good-bye

A Poem by Beth Lindsay
"

Everyone been through this at least once in their life.

"
I see you walk away
You are out of arms reach
I can't bring myself to say
all that I want to say
I watch you fade
Fade with the rest my memories
I am crying and biting my lip
I want you to stay with me
Move, move, move!
My heart cries out in pain
I feel like this is a nightmare
I have to be going insane
You can't leave me
But I can't move
I can't reach you
But I can't loose you
Biting my lip
tasting the blood
Feeling the stings of my cries
I know I have to try
I scream out your name
At that moment
My heart knew
things would never be the same
I screamed your name
I heard the echoes of your footsteps
followed by a sigh
Then a Good-bye
