A Poem by Beth Lindsay
"

Sometimes you can't get the ending you want, so enjoy the ending that you get. The other's happy ending sometimes is the best ending you as well.

"

It’s alright to be like this

If that is what you truly wish

As long as I have a place in your mind

I think I will come out alright

I know that I can’t be in your embrace

Or ever will I know how your lips taste

But I am quite content with just being here

Don’t worry,my friend, these are happy tears

You have a love that blossomed on it’s own

So please don’t worry about leaving me alone

Because to love is to wish for your happiness

But please don’t look at this as Selflessness

Because I am selfish for taking what I can get

And crying at night for not being content with it

Selfish for hiding these feelings with a smile

Letting you dream of her coming down the aisle

But that is all I know how to do to ensure

No matter how much being just friends may hurt

That I remain somewhere in your mind and heart

Just know that I loved you from the very start
