Whispers to the Moon

Whispers to the Moon

A Poem by Beth Lindsay

The day turns to night
I wait patiently for the fading light
to sing a soft lullaby
 Greeting the stars with delight

They ridicule me for my love
the balance of light and dark from  above
But my heart don't race in the day
Only the night sky makes me feel this way

The stars twinkle with all our dreams
With the lullabies the winds sings
If only they truly knew
This little whispers from the moon
