Love Will Find YouA Poem by LindsayMaybe I’m supposed to be, An onus on this family tree. Forgotten time and place to be, Recluse though of my own decree. Doomed to watch and doomed to serve, Hug the straights and speed the curves. Endure the words that play on nerves, The further back, the vision blurs. When they see, who will it be? Of all those there, it won’t be me. I can beg and cry and plea, But pride, it fuels the irony. The vicious loom of endless loops, Bad in head, adept in groups. Broaden the field and widen your hoops, Keep running, not searching for time to recoup. When to give in and when to resign? To say all things end is inherently blind. To put on a smile, a face that is kind, If dishonest in nature, intrinsically lying. Hiding your pressured, prohibited crying, Eyes opened fully, perpetually drying. Secretly hoping that someone is spying. Vigilance hot, the interior frying. Stop looking, I say. I instruct you to do. Turn off this paranoid, ruinous stew. Relax your tension and widen your view, Allow for refreshment, the cool of the dew. Stop searching for answers, for fictional clues. For love is not hiding, no. Love will find you. © 2013 LindsayReviews
