Don't Hide

Don't Hide

A Poem by Lindsay

In the basement of the skies

Refuted, coupled romance dies

Taken with self-evidence

Destructive patterns will arise

Every time, again, again.

See the pale moon sighs

Neglected, far to touch, to grasp

Avert those inward eyes.

Look eternal

Never hearing

More than your own cries

Relate yourself to “them,” you say.

No.

Yourself and you you’ve tied.

Don’t hide.

It's about beginning a new relationship but never really commiting yourself to that person. So many people get into patterns where they look for things that aren't there or blame others for their own issues or short comings. They analyze and overanalyze until it's actually another version of themselves they've entered a relationship with. Hope u liked it
