Dear Stalker,

Dear Stalker,

A Poem by Lindsay Elizabeth
"

A sonnet based on an unfortunately factual experience..

"

I had hoped that you'd refrain from texting
when I ignored all eighty-seven calls.
Yet, this strange occurrence seems perplexing
because you haven't given up at all.

I have to keep my phone on constant charge
since the constant calls deplete its power.
Why can't you send a letter, note, or card
instead of texting by the hour?

My friends and family call throughout the week
but they only get a busy dial.
Is this your creative courting technique?
Well, perhaps it's time to change your style.

So here's a warning: when you go to jail
please don't waste your call to hear my voicemail.

lolz! I loved this. Excellent use of story telling. I was kind of hoping it might be a bit longer because I felt there is more of the story to tell but I believe that doing so might throw the poem into horror instead of humor.

Hahahaha :) I really, really like this. I don't know if you have a legit stalker or not, but I really do like this. :) The back board of humor, and the foundation of cleverness, and thought hold this thing up successfully :D

I like this, it's well written. Creepy that you have to write it, but well written nevertheless.
