El Lago de Maracaibo

I stood in wonder because the white lily pads looked like over-sized stars floating in the ocean, as if

the sky and the water had become the same in that moment,

that very moment, I had everything I ever needed and all the beauty I ever wanted

in my tangible view of eternity from east to west north to south

I could not find the horizon and I stood in wonder,
