CrossroadsA Poem by Lindsay ElizabethLooking back through old poetry journals from middle school and I came across the first poem I ever wrote.
I met Him at the crossroads,
He looked me in the eyes. I told Him I was sorry, He told me not to cry. I told Him of my past regrets, my endless list of mistakes. He told me, "Loving you is a chance that I am willing to take." I confessed I had my doubts. He told me "Just believe." I asked him where I should begin. He said "Just follow me." I stood there at the crossroads, looked to my right and to my left, But neither direction that I could see looked better than the rest. I asked Him where my future lies-- which direction I should choose. He said "Just fix your eyes on me and there's no way that you can lose."
