A Poem by JB Henderson
"

Well, I originally wrote this without the intention of anyone seeing it. Now that my feelings have passed, I decided to share it.

"
Oh, how I am suffering so!
From an ancient illness, experienced
By many, relieved by few
It is only an illness convienenced
When the illness is shared by two
Yet when one is to suffer alone
The illness spreads rapidly, and it is shewn
By the glassy eyes and the quivering lips
Wrapping the finger around the tips
Of the hair beautified for them
Left unnoticed, other matters discussed
Mostly involving life, sometimes the stem
Of the sickness long forgotten, yet never crushed
Despite the efforts that are made!
I love her so, though she can never be mine
Causing great despair, making me question
How long I can keep this secret, and whether we'll be fine?
I have wished for happiness and success
Of good grades and fancy dress
Hoping for a happy home life
And that I and the family have no strife
I would trade it away, if only I were able
For that dream of her embrace and the fable
Of her kiss!
