breaking hearts

breaking hearts

A Poem by Linear

All things I have tried to be,

Many are the faces I have worn,

Often times I have turned away to hide a single tear,

Laughed at all your jokes,

Listened and held your hand,

When you felt hurt,

Or grazed your knee.

Picked you up when you were down,

Gave you presents constantly,

Told you so many times,

I love you,

And now my dearest darling you say you are leaving me.

My life will be a little emptier when your gone, my heart will will break a little knowing there is now an empty space, where you once trod

But in all things I wish you well, for I will always love you,
my darling most precious daughter,

Bless you, and take care, this your first day at school.

i have read this i know and remember it well enough to know i enjoy the gentle way you have with words...many poets bludgeon words which make their efforts blunt...i recognised your merit immediately in the crowd and can but encourage you to continue doing what you do and in the end you will find a sense of satisfaction with nearly all your work...this write is tender...well structured...and well believable...more please Linear :)
