OrangeA Poem by AvoiryI drank down the poison of the drink just to stay beside you Feigning my sickness To make a stand with loose rocking horse heels Stumbling over my own convictions An old shanty canvas Wheezing at the heart Protesting our foul crimes against Her..against Him... Cried out again in silence demonstration Feathers bleeding from its sides We liked pretending But Ignorance did not become us The morning hours mere seconds at pass but enraptured In Tango manic bliss we danced the night away with ritualistic passion and youthful determination Your mouth here And my hand there Til our limbs quaked with possession Sunlight shattering the freeze frame of deception A cancer awoke festering and mutating from with inn I could not stay beside you You were a sickness Worse then the poison We were pretending I with my pride You with your eyes lashed with sand I could not say good bye The fool and the hanged man on parade Love was red In its splendor and truth But we were dirty coated in lies In the tainted shade of Orange © 2010 Avoiry |
