Welcome

Welcome

A Poem by Avoiry

Welcome to the vortex

Where I don’t know you

And you don’t know me

But that’s the beauty of it dear

We masquerade

In possessive angst of the fading century

Be bob a lula who’s your baby?

I don’t know

And you don’t either

But it’s the beauty dear

Of the guessing game

One two four

But the number was three

We always knew that

It’s the ‘what if’ that lurks in being wrong

So enticing

So funny

So lovely

Sinking in and out of the maze

Be bob a lula bye bye baby

So far gone

But we don’t miss you at all
