scuffed

scuffed

A Poem by Avoiry

Sinking in this absence of reality

Falling into this fatal spiral

Biting down on the lead of my fingers

My own poisoning

Eating my skin

From my mind to my spine

So dysfunctional and plaguing

And there goes my ability to breath

As they tell me it’s a matter of memory

And I just need a shift of gears

And ill be back on my feet

No time

 No expense

To the man one floor up

Peering down

At the remainder of my shoes

But my toes are scuffing the ground

And bleeding has never felt better
