it was

it was

A Poem by Avoiry

Air was lax

breathing the wax

of meaningless dribblings

of burning feelings

and the thoughts

that tread

hide beneath the thread

that held us together

but you and i know better

there is no

forever

even with bliss

we are nothing more then this

The sky was high

floating on smoke

passing its dreams

upon you and i

but there is no reason

for i sighed out the treason

and kissed up the bliss

but in the end

we know better

we are nothing more then this

The earth was one

as it swallowed the sun

enlightening the moon

to higher meaning

what a hard phantom to fathom

as we are only cadavers

bone dry and picking

attempting human

what a sacred miss

as we are nothing more then this
