Don't give in

Don't give in

A Poem by Avoiry

When your kisses grow cold

And your arms jerk away

And his touch doesn’t sooth you

And you don’t want to play

These silly sick games

That you put yourself through

For his satisfaction

Instead of for you

You scream in your car

And drown out the sound

And his words burn right through you

Till you fall to the ground

Can’t take it any more

You’re falling apart

As he smashes your ego

And stomps on your heart

You’re running away

But you’re not getting far

He wants you to stay

And forget who you are

So let out your claws

And put up a fight

Cause only one of you

Will walk away

Tonight
