Dear Diary

Dear Diary

A Poem by Avoiry

Dear diary

I met a man today

He was everything I could ever wish for

Smart, attractive, kind, and he had gorgeous green eyes

He seems to be an honest man

And he always knows what to say

Maybe he is Mr. Right

Dear diary

Three months today

He is always on trips and I miss him

More then I could ever express

He always brings me presents

But something has changed

I noticed it somewhere between Kansas and Maine

Maybe I’m just anxious

Dear diary

It is our eight month

Despite the last time I saw him was in our sixth

I love him still and I await his return

I wonder what he will bring for me

Dear diary

I think I’m going to die

This was the worse present ever

Her name is Regina

I better get packing

I have an hour to get out of his house

I will write to you later

Dear diary

I am on the street tonight

I have no where to go

The rain is starting to fall and its freezing

I hate New York in the winter

But I’m to numb right now to care about much

I wish them well and I wish her dead

Alive and well and well in general are two different things

Well goodnight for now if I can manage a minute’s sleep

Dear diary I woke to a man carrying me away

When I asked his name he replied he was my father

The light seemed drawn to him

The air felt so clean to my lungs

I’m not in New York anymore

This place is much different

There isn’t a cloud in sight and everyone seems happy

A few of them even have wings

I still don’t trust father

He is just another man after all…
