Different on the inside

Different on the inside

A Poem by Avoiry

Open you
Open Me
You'll see
Were so different
internally

Your spine is missing
and where is your heart?
I can see your myocyte
But wheres your dendrite?
You register no pain
No gain

My hearts in my throat
and im broken at the knee
But don't fix me
No need
Please heed

Seal me shut
A few stitches will do
perhaps some tape or super glue
Don't worry about the left over screws
You need them more then i do...

Left over screws always remind me of flat-pack attempts - you refer here to them as if there are flat pack attempts at love and at life - I really like that anaolgy.
I was drawn to the picture image mainly (to begin with) but then the poem kicked a bit or arse too - very good writing Avoiry.
