C'mon Home, Crow Jane

C'mon Home, Crow Jane

A Poem by LR Young

you're like fire and water, you burn me
up, up only to soothe my marrow,
the serpentine coiling of
my own effervescence, the ricochet
of light on light.
one more moment will pass and then
all the dark yugas will fall away beneath us.
Wherever you land in the flesh and awake,
evoking a shudder that thunders
like my heart beat against my ear drum,
making signs in letters,
in foreign alphabets and
other tongues:
I know no other word for you than mine.
I can only turn to the stillness
that opens
like myriads of eyes
on the inside of me, see and see
for it will be nothing like I
could have expected, I will grow
into every color, because the blues
makes any other word, my last red
and ochre syllable, incomprehensible.

I love your talent for using words, so eloquent, so beautiful. You express emotion in a very artistic way. Great piece.
