A Poem by LR Young

the central column, spinal or
präna breathing fully hollowed; crawling
into my first vesica pisces, the first fish where
my own light opened, the
blinking wide wide eyed universe,
the electric tingle of namaste-lit-up nights,
lingering into skins, like
water into cloths, the dark seeping
measure of many many more than
hurricanes have more warning than
the meter of your timbre, your lavish
speed breaking blue flashing in
my mind's eye. come back, come
back till it can begin begin from the
end again; all I need at this point
is an old sedan
and the pavement,
driving all night till we can
pull over, and line the horizon of
the earth with our exchange; like
nina simone songs, mind, mind, mind
me, mindfully take on the fragile
epitome of hushed seeking,
such awkward things I say
within the forgetful misreadings
of the sinful feeling fashionable skin.
before i even
open my eyes, I
pluck at my own finish like a mandolin,
& feel the sun pouring its color,
its images through my eyelids.
