A Poem by LR Young

when you hold on tight
to the right thread long enough,
it turns into a torch, sparks
strength into your tired limbs,
released from years pacing
at crossroads, the
hippocampus fireworks parade,
because it is memorial,
because I remember you
and why I am here
standing, arms wide
open like salvation,
all those silver cinematic
holiness-es where by looking
eye to eye we knew our whole
fate projected on inner minds
like movie screens.
