Only Tonight

My Pulse races as I search for her.

Yearning for the feeling that I had once before.

I want to release it all.

The anger the stress, the loneliness.

 

I wonder if she will be in the place I first met her in.

Or if she is occupied on another client.

My pockets feel heavy as I turn the corner.

There she is. Her eyes filled with hunger.

 

I don't need to say a word.

She knows what I want.

And it's exactly what she has.

 

Her lips are like venom when they touch mine.

Its bitter sweet; like tasting the oldest divine wine.

 

"Only for tonight"

Those are the words she whispers into my ear

As she takes me away, from everything here.

 

Fire Burns into her eyes,

And her soul cold with ice

No remorse.

No shame.

No pain.

To her all of this it is only a game.

 

I don't have much to give.

I need the confidence.

She is the only one that is powerful enough to give it.

To take it.

 

She has me in her trance

Taking control without giving me a chance.

Electricity runs through my body.

The time goes by like lightening.

 

The sun rises once again,

Now Paradise must end.

 

Before I go back to my world,

She sits patiently waiting for her reward.

 

And that is what I do...

Before I go back to the life I’m used to.

Her lips are like venom, that line really drills it in for me, it's so strong and vivid that I can't help but immerse myself into the piece. This is such an escape from the mundane. a truly amazing fantasy painted into the normality of life, well most of our lives, definitely mine haha. Loved experiencing the rush and thrill of this one night, even though its just words, I felt like I lived through them in this moment. Great write, I can still feel the numbness on my lips from her venomous kiss.
