One Red Thread

One Red Thread

A Poem by Linda Moon

Within life’s entanglements
Weaving
Stretching
Undressing
Pressing to the edge
Breathing
In the spaces between.

Caught in my throat
Are the words
The images
The emotions.

One red thread
Dangling
Unbreaking
Tying us to something new.

How do we describe who we are? I know that I am not defined by my name, my gender, my relationships, my religion, my accomplishments or my past. I am... something more~ Those who know me will say .. more..
