The Other Side of the Page

The Other Side of the Page

A Poem by Linda Moon

Hold me

In the intimacy of your hands

Caress my spine

Palmistry revealing

With your life lines a ‘bay

In the ocean of knowledge

I will swim to you on the other side.

Glide the textures of your fingertips

Anticipating the next word

Soothing more than a thousand lifetimes

In the ridges of joy and sorrow

And as you turn the pages

I will wait for you on the other side.

I will warm your fingertips

Like a blanket of stars

On a clear mid summer’s night

I will dream with you

Until the golden dawn rises

I will lie next to you

Dreaming of you on the other side.

I will plant you

Like the seedlings of spring

And water you with love

Highlight me in yellow

Underline me in blue

With each breath

With each turn

In all the seasons

I will bloom for you on the other side.

I am a book

I am the words

I am your love

Penned in black ink

Illustrated in pure passion.

wow, from start I imagine a book, and then as i proceed it was indeed a book, very clever write. From the pages of our writes we journey, we marvel, we travel, we love and be loved and many more emotions poured down from our thoughts to paper. This is a great piece!

How do we describe who we are? I know that I am not defined by my name, my gender, my relationships, my religion, my accomplishments or my past. I am... something more~ Those who know me will say .. more..
