Distance Holds Our LoveA Poem by Linda J. Wofffa poem about long distance loveDistance holds our love in bondage It could be one mile of country road Or maybe three thousand miles Of sand, ocean, and the breeze However, it cannot hold how I feel about you I know I cannot touch you However, the wanting is over-flowing To embrace you with my everything It consumes my thoughts Tearing reality away from my heart, Leaving me in a dream state of mind Between dosing and wakefulness Every ounce of my body Feels this magnetic strength Drawing, pulling me closer to you I try to fight it off; but I cannot Tell me when, when I will be In your arms again my love To inhale you... to hold you for eternity Please darling... tell me when! ©Linda J.
