Just One More

Just One More

A Poem by Linair

Don’t make me go

I want to stay

She needs to know

That it’s okay

The car’s a mess

My head hurts too

It’s made her dress

A redder hue

It just can’t be

It’s just not right

I couldn’t see

He had no lights

He hit us hard

The driver’s door

Our little car

Did very poor

Oh, please lord

Don’t make me leave

Don’t strike the chord

On Christmas Eve

I need one more day

Just one more wish

The next I’ll say

‘Just one more kiss’

Just one more night

Just one more may

Just one more sight

I have to stay

I tried to say

That it’s not fair

I want to wait

To see her there

And then I left

Then I died

The night I left

My love cried

For things unsaid

The night I died

About
I'm a dragon lover and an avid E.A. Poe fan. I guess I've always had a knack for enjoying the darker poetry but I still enjoy reading the lighter stuff. My favorite book series happens to be the Dresd.. more..
