The Grave

The Grave

A Poem by Linair
"

just a thought...

"

 What heart of stone

Ancient and cold

Still and frozen

Unmovable

Ever stained

They grieve around

The cross nearby

He died alone

Here where he lies

Ground damp and muddy

The angels grieve loss

Goodbye to faith

I just had my mom's remains donated to a teaching college or a city burial.
A corpse is a dead thing should you have ever seen one.
Sounds redundant but very true.
Like we know when garbage is garbage.

Love the poem!

About
I'm a dragon lover and an avid E.A. Poe fan. I guess I've always had a knack for enjoying the darker poetry but I still enjoy reading the lighter stuff. My favorite book series happens to be the Dresd.. more..
