Blame

Blame

A Poem by Linair
"

in memory of 9-11

"

 Wars and famine

Heartache and pain

The nations look around

Pointing fingers to blame

To see the beginning

And learn from the past

To see the nations

A withering mass

The loss of our peace

The death of an age

The hardship that followed

Was advice from a sage

We stand here alone

And watch it unfold

To see the last truth

The has yet to be told

We are the angels

With a note from above

If you look, hope is flying

On the wings of God’s dove

p.s.
Your piece was very well written and captured a more global view.
We here in NYC think of this event as our own and that is not correct.

Maybe we won't be so arrogant in the future and try to understand
the people we call enemies who are basically like us in many ways.
It could have been avoided if there was mindfulness and heart
30 years before the attack that destroyed the building I worked in.

Yeah, this is very sad and I know everyone could probably relate to the feeling of loss and hope. You did a really good job and I like this piece. Keep writing, but maybe ones not as sad ha :)

About
I'm a dragon lover and an avid E.A. Poe fan. I guess I've always had a knack for enjoying the darker poetry but I still enjoy reading the lighter stuff. My favorite book series happens to be the Dresd.. more..
